The preconfigured reports bundled with Sales-n-Stats are divided into several groups:
1. Web Statistics Use these reports to analyze the statistics on where the visitors come to your site from, how they move within the site, from what pages they exit the site. Pages by popularity This report lists the most frequently visited site pages within a certain period of time. It also displays the average time that the visitors spend at this page. It allows you to evaluate how much your visitors are interested in the content of this site page. The following columns are included:
Pageviews dynamics This report allows to evaluate when your site was most and least visited. All the data are broken by time periods, you can select shorter or longer time units, from hours to years. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Search phrases This report lists the search phrases that the visitors use to find your site and defines what search engine they come from. You can select between the general statistics of visits according to all search phrases or the statistics on the search phrases from the selected search engine (Google, Yahoo, Amazon.com, MSN Search, Live Search, AltaVista, HotBot, Excite, Ask.com, MyWebWearch, Answers.com, Search.com). You can select the necessary search engine from the given list. The following columns are included:
Visitors by search engines This bar chart shows the number of visits made by the visitors coming to your site from the most popular search engines (Google, Yahoo, Amazon.com, MSN Search, Live Search, AltaVista, HotBot, Excite, Ask.com, MyWebWearch, Answers.com, Search.com). It can be helpful to know how much traffic is generated by each search engine and analyze the results of SEO optimization work for your site. Web summary This report displays the following statistics: Page views: the number of the site pages viewed by the visitors for the selected time period; Unique visitors: the number of site visitors for a certain period of time (every visitor is counted only once, recurring visits are not taken into account); Visits: total number of visits to your site for a certain period of time; New visitors: the number of the visitors who came to your site for the first time during the selected time period; Core auditorium: the number of the visitors who regularly come to your site (at least once a week). This attribute is useful if the report time period is more than a week; Average time on site: average time spent by a visitor on the site; Average page views per visit: the average number of the site pages viewed by the visitors during one visit; Visits with more than 2 viewed pages: displays the number of the visits during which the visitors viewed more than two site pages. It allows to estimate the number of visitors who were interested in the content of your site. Average pageview duration This report allows you to estimate the appeal of page content to your visitors. According to the number of the pageviews and their duration at certain site pages you can determine what visitors find more interesting, compelling or helpful and what has to be improved. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
If you leave empty the 'Page template' field, statistics for all the pageviews is shown. Pageviews longer than 45 minutes are not included into the report. 2. Navigation Entry pages This report displays the most popular entry points (pages) of your site. It should be used for improving site navigation system and content of the most popular entry pages for retention of incoming visitors. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Most popular site paths This report allows you to define typical site paths that the visitors use to move within your website. With the help of this report you can see how good your site navigation is. The report also allows you to select the paths starting at the first site page or at any other page. You can track paths through site pages or zones at your choice and select the maximum length of path that is being displayed. The following columns are included:
Page bounce rate The visitor is bounced if he leaves the web site after viewing only one page. This means that the visitor is not interested in your site. High bounce rate for the site in whole indicates that the visitors coming to your site do not belong to your target audience. High bounce rate for a particular page may indicate on the poor content of the page that is not catching visitor's attention enough to make him stay on the site. The following columns are included:
Page navigation This report helps you evaluate the navigational efficiency of your website. It gives you a clear idea of how visitors move through the site pages and how easy it is for them to reach a particular destination on the site. Analyzing your visitors navigation patterns will reveal any problems which might exist in your site navigation system. Report parameters: Page URL: URL of the target page where you wish to examine your visitors navigation patterns. Inbound navigation/Outbound navigation selector: defines whether you want to see URLs of the pages from which visitors got onto the target page (Inbound) or URLs of the pages to which visitors went from the target web page (Outbound). Report results: Page: URLs of the site pages from which visitors got onto the target page/to which visitors went from the target web page. Transitions: Percent: Site exits This report allows you to identify the site pages from which the visitors most frequently leave your site. Analyzing this statistics can help you improve your site as high abandonment rate can be evidence of either poor navigation system or inadequate content of the site page. You can select one site zone to see how often the visitors exit your site from this very zone or compare all site pages to see what pages are abandoned most frequently. The following columns are included:
3. Reports by actions You get information about the actions performed by the visitors at your site for a certain period of time. Action details This is a general report that allows to get all the information about actions that were performed during the set time period and includes all the data related to the specified actions. Select an action name and view all the information connected with this action. Actions by campaign This report displays the general statistics for a campaign and the list of actions performed by visitors who came to your site through this campaign. Report parameters: Adv. Campaign: A campaign on which you want the report to be generated. Select the desired campaign from the list of available campaigns. (You can set up advertising campaigns in Tools -> System Settings --> General Settings -> Adv. Campaigns). First visit/Any visit selector: defines whether you want the report to include only the visitors whose first visit to your site originated through this campaign (First visit) or on visitors who were referred to your site by this campaign at least once, not necessarily on their first visit to the site (Any visit). In the same visit/In the same and later visits selector: defines whether you want the report to count only actions that took place during the visit originating through the selected campaign or actions that took place in the subsequent visits as well. Report results: Campaign visitors: Number of unique visitors who came to the site through the selected campaign Campaign visits: Number of visits which originated through the selected campaign Average visit depth: Average number of pageviews during a visit that originated through the selected campaign Bounce rate: Number and percentage of visits, originating through the selected campaign, that have only one pageview. Action: names of actions performed by campaign visitors. Count: count of actions performed by campaign visitors. Conversion: Percentage of campaign visits which contain the goal action. Actions correlation This report allows you to define the correlation between the arbitrary actions and the target action that you select. For example, you can find out how much viewing the featured products influences the target action, for example Order. The higher the percent of co-occurrence the more this action influences the target action. The following columns are included:
Actions summary This report shows the number of all the actions for a period of time, the number of the visitors who performed the specific actions, and the number of visits during which these actions were performed. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Visitors who did action X This report displays the list of the visitors who performed the specific target action (action X) on the site during the selected period of time. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
4. Visitors Reports Top visitors This report sorts all the visitors by number of visits for the selected period of time. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Visitors dynamics (from referrer) This report allows you to see the dynamics of the visits to your site from a specified referrer during a certain period of time. The period is divided into the equal time units (hours, days, weeks, months, quarters, years). The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Visitors by origin This report allows you to get statistics on the countries your site visitors come from. The countries are listed sorted by the number of visitors. You can select either country or country/state (province) to group the visitors and limit the number of countries you want to be displayed.. The following columns are included:
Visitors by source This report shows the hosts/URLs from which visitors come to your site and how many visits are made by the visitors from each referring host/URL during the set time period. The websites (referrers) having references to your site are listed in descending order. You can group visitors according to either the websites (host) they come from or the unique URLs (URL). The following columns are included:
Visitors dynamics This report allows you to see the number of visits to your site during a certain period of time that is divided into the equal time units (hours, days, weeks, months, quarters, years). You also see the percentage of new visitors. The following columns are included:
Visitors from referrer This report shows which visitors are coming from the specified referrer. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Visitors who viewed page X This report displays the list of the visitors who viewed the target site page (page X) during the selected period of time. You need to define the target page URL, if necessary you can use asterisk (*) symbol as a wildcard. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
5. E-commerce reports These reports enable you to analyze the sales results by sales volume per item (product); sales volume per period; sales volume per visit from the certain search engines; sales volume per number of the usage of particular search phrases. To get a better overview of the sales results combine the information from all of these reports. Campaign ROI analysis (PPC) This report is useful for e-commerce sites running Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising campaigns. This report assumes that the goal is an action named Order which has a field called Total containing the sum of the order. If you are using an integration add-on for the compatible software, this action is set up by default; otherwise you need to implement it yourself according to the manual. Report parameters: Adv. Campaign: A campaign on which you want the report to be generated. Select the desired campaign from the list of available campaigns. (You can set up advertising campaigns in Tools -> System Settings --> General Settings -> Adv. Campaigns). First visit/Any visit selector: defines whether you want the report to include only the visitors whose first visit to your site originated through this campaign (First visit) or on visitors who were referred to your site by this campaign at least once, not necessarily on their first visit to the site (Any visit). In the same visit/In the same and later visits selector: defines whether you want the report to count only actions that took place during the visit originating through the selected campaign or actions that took place in the subsequent visits as well. Average cost per click: Average price that you pay to the advertiser for a click on your advertisement. Report results: Campaign visitors: Number of unique visitors who came to the site through the selected campaign Campaign visits: Number of visits which originated through the selected campaign Average visit depth: Average number of pageviews during a visit that originated through the selected campaign Bounce rate: Number and percentage of visits, originating through the selected campaign, that have only one pageview. Converted visitors: Number of visitors who came to the site via the selected campaign and placed an order Conversion: Percentage of visitors who came to the site via the selected campaign and placed an order as related to the total number of visitors referred by this campaign. Gross revenue: Total sum of orders referred by the selected campaign. Campaign ROI (Return on Investment): Ratio of Gross revenue to the sum spent on this campaign. This parameter can help you estimate the amount of funds spent on advertising which returns in sales and make a decision whether you should continue using this campaign. Product sales dynamics This report defines the sales dynamics for a product during a certain period of time. You can select either a specific product from the given list or choose 'any' to get information about total sales of all the products. The following columns are included:
Products by campaign This report displays a list of products sold via an advertising campaign. The report can help you determine the real scope of the campaign and give you an idea whether the target audience was reached by the campaign. For example, if your were promoting car engine parts, but the campaign led to an increase in sales of stickers and car posters, it means that your advertising did not exactly hit the target audience. Report results: Campaign visitors: Number of unique visitors who came to your site through the selected campaign Campaign visits: Number of visits which originated through the selected campaign Average visit depth: Average number of pageviews during a visit that originated through the selected campaign Bounce rate: Number and percentage of visits that originated throughy the selected campaign that have only one pageview. Products: Names of products and Quantity of product items purchased by customers who came through the selected campaign, Total sum paid for the purchased products. Sales by referrer This report displays the total sales made by the visitors coming to your site from the selected referrer during the specified period of time. This report allows to estimate revenue generated by the referring web site. The following columns are included:
Sales by search engines This report defines the total sales made by the visitors who came to your site using a specific search engine. This will help you determine the place of this search engine in your sales structure. The following columns are included:
Sales by search phrase This report displays the list of the search phrases (keywords) that the visitors used to come to your site, sorted by the number of sales that they promoted. From this report you can clearly see what search phrases really work for you and generate targeted traffic. This is very useful for estimating the performance of Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising programs. The following columns are included:
Total sales dynamics This report shows the total sales turnover for the selected period of time. Adjust unit parameter to achieve the necessary detalization level. The following columns are included:
6. Marketing Reports (Auditorium) Use these reports to select the visitors satisfying definite conditions. Each report in this group corresponds with certain conditions. All the reports are editable, the following columns are included by default:
Customers by category This report lists the customers who have purchased products from the selected product category. It allows you to group the customers with similar interests and preferences. It may be useful for marketing research and selecting target audience for advertising campaigns. Customers by number of orders This report displays the list of customers who regularly place orders in your shop. It may be useful if you want to give such customers special offer discounts. Customers are sorted by the number of placed orders. Customers by product This report lists all the customers who purchased the selected product. Select 'any' from the 'Product name' drop-down box to view the statistics on all the customers. Customers by sum of orders This report selects the customers according to the sum of their order totals. To see only those customers who have ordered for more than the specified sum, set the total limit. Recent visitors This report displays the list of the visitors who have recently visited your shop and are probably ready to purchase something from you. 7. Other If you have any difficulty in referring your own report to any of the default groups put it into the group called 'Other'. Besides you can edit any of the preconfigured reports from the group 'Other'. Campaign geography This report allows to estimate the number of visitors from different countries attracted through a selected advertising campaign. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Campaign conversion latency This report calculates the average time and amount of visits required for a visitor referred to your site by an advertising campaign to perform a certain action. Conversion time is a period from the moment a visitor enters the site to the moment he performs a goal action. For your convenience, the report not only calculates the average values for a campaign, but also presents the results on two scales: visits before conversion and days before conversion. Report parameters: Goal action: The action that is a goal of the campaign (e.g. Order) Adv. Campaign: A campaign on which you want the report to be generated. Select the desired campaign from the list of available campaigns. (You can set up advertising campaigns in Tools -> System Settings --> General Settings -> Adv. Campaigns). First visit/Any visit selector: defines whether you want the report to include only the visitors whose first visit to your site originated through this campaign (First visit) or on visitors who were referred to your site by this campaign at least once, not necessarily on their first visit to the site (Any visit). Report results: The section 'Number of visits before conversion:' displays what percentage of visitors have performed the goal action on the first, second or subsequent visits after being referred to the site by the campaign. Average number of visits: average number of visits required for a visitor referred to your site by the selected campaign to perform the goal action. The section 'Time before conversion:' displays which percentage of visitors have performed the goal action on the same, second, third or later days after being referred to the site by the campaign. Average conversion time: average time required for a visitor referred to your site by the campaign to perform the goal action. OS and Web browsers by popularity This report defines what operating systems are used by visitors and what web browsers are most popular for each operating system. The groups of operating systems and web browsers are displayed in descending order according to the number of visits. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Top referrers by country This report displays the URLs of the web sites, that drive visitors from the selected country to your site. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Web Browsers by popularity This report lists all the web browsers used by your visitors. The browsers are displayed starting from the most popular ones to the least used. The report is editable, the following columns are included by default:
Important! The number of preconfigured reports is constantly increasing, that is why your version of the software might contain new reports not described in this manual.
