1. What is the difference between Live and Enterprise editions of Sales-n-Stats software?

The major difference is that Live Edition is a single user application while Enterprise Edition is a collaboration environment for multiple operators. There is no limitation of functionality in Live Edition however there are extra features in Enterprise Edition that only make sense in multi user environment: chat/call transfer, operator to operator chat, support for multiple departments, calls routing and standalone datacenter.

2. Does any part of Sales-n-Stats software run on your company web servers?

No, it doesn't. Sales-n-Stats runs on your own web server and desktop computer, no part of the software is supposed to be run on our servers. You receive the whole product and are free to choose where to install Data Collector and client software.

3. How many sites can I monitor with Sales-n-Stats software?

We license Sales-n-Stats not per web site domain but per installed PHP Data Collector script. You can monitor unlimited number of web sites with Sales-n-Stats but per each license you will have only one Data Collector script to gather visitors data and one client application to install on your local computer.
If your sites have moderate traffic, one Data collector can serve many sites, but for heavy traffic web sites we recommend to install one Data Collector per one web site. Data Collector can be installed and run on a separate server and monitor sites located on different web servers.

4. I could not find my software in the Compatible Software list. Can I use Sales-n-Stats on my web site?

Definitely yes. Sales-n-Stats is a completely independent application and you can use it with any third party software or custom web site.For the software in the Compatible list we created pre-defined settings that follow business logic of the supported products so you can import ready settings, skip configuration process and start using Sales-n-Stats instantly. We are constantly working on expansion of the Compatible Software list. Please contact us for the information if your software is not yet supported out-of-the-box.

5. I have Sales-n-Stats Live Edition installed on my office computer. Can I use Sales-n-Stats software in the evening from my home computer?

Yes, it is possible. In case of Live Edition you will be able to run only one copy of the software at a time, simultaneous work from both locations is impossible. In case of Enterprise Edition you can install the terminal application on your home computer and connect it to the Data Center installed in your office, the only limitation is that the office computer where Data Center is installed should be available through Internet.

6. How difficult is it to integrate Sales-n-Stats with my existing website?

You need to insert JavaScript code snippets into pages that you are going to track in order to start using most of Sales-n-Stats features. If you are using the software that has built-in compatibility with Sales-n-Stats, out-of-the-box integration will take even less efforts - all you need to do is to install the special integration plug-in.

7. What software do I need at my web server to run Sales-n-Stats?

You need PHP/MySQL installed at your web server. Java Virtual machine required on your local computer (included in the distribution) to run operator console. Please refer to system requirements page for more details.

8. What is visitor's actions recognition?

Sales-n-Stats can be taught to recognize actions that visitor does at your site. The set of tracked actions depends only on your business requirements. You can create your own specific actions. Here are few examples of visitors' actions: add product to cart, read an article, download file, place an order etc. Actions can have parameters that store information about actions details like product name, article title, file name, order total so you can instantly view them or use later for generating reports.

9. Is Sales-n-Stats a web based software so I can just run it in my browser?

No. Sales-n-Stats is a fully featured Java application so it does not have the typical limitations of a web based interface. You need to install free Java Virtual Machine on operator's computer to run Sales-n-Stats. At the same time server side part of the software is developed in PHP scripting language supported by almost all hosting providers. Java support at your hosting is not required.

10. What are the fees for using Sales-n-Stats?

You pay only once when you purchase the software. There are no periodic fees, you own lifetime license for the software.

11. What software do my visitors need to use Sales-n-Stats?

Only a web browser that they use for surfing (the tracking code is compatible with most browsers that are on the market today). Also, the Skype software has to be installed on a visitor's computer in order to use the voice chat. Usually visitor won't notice any difference when the site will start using Sales-n-Stats until they (or you) decide to use online communication facility.

12. What about the privacy of my visitors? Is this a kind of spyware that collects confidential information?

Sales-n-Stats is compatible with Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) developed by the World Wide Web Consortium, an industry standard providing a simple, automated way for users to gain more control over the use of personal information on Web sites they visit. You can define suitable Compact Policy within Sales-n-Stats interface to make sure that data collection routines match the privacy settings of every visitor of your site.

13. What kind of data can Sales-n-Stats collect? Is there any software installed on the visitor's computer?

No. Sales-n-Stats can only collect data that visitor anyway willingly transfers to your site: information about page views, remote IPs, referrers, HTTP forms and other data that is typically collected by web log analyzers. Sales-n-Stats has a built-in protection mechanism that prevents from accidental collecting sensitive customer data like passwords, credit card information, etc.

14. Is the communication with my customers secure and private?

All data channels are encrypted using strong cryptographic routines. All communication between visitor and operator can be secured with SSL. To prevent system abuse all data interfaces of the system are password protected.

There are several options to get technical support for Sales-n-Stats Free Edition:

  • Use Sales-n-Stats community forums to get help from the users of Sales-n-Stats software.
  • Purchase commercial support from our company and get assistance from our professional technical support team.
  • If you already own one of the products from our company and have HepDesk account you can use your technical support points to get assistance for the Sales-n-Stats software.

16. Sales-n-Stats Installation Wizard can't connect to Data Collector

First of all, please check whether "sns.js" file is available at the Data Collector URL within your browser. For example, if Data Collector URL is "http://www.site.com/sns/", the file URL would be "http://www.site.com/sns/sns.js". If there is no such file, check whether Data Collector files are uploaded into the correct directory on the server and the directory name is the same as the name in the Data Collector URL. If your browser says that you don't have access to the file at "http://www.site.com/sns/sns.js" (for example, it says "Forbidden"), check permissions for Data Collector files and contact you server administrator. If the file is there but Installation Wizard still can't connect to Data Collector, click "Network settings" button and check whether you specified the correct proxy settings.
